Inaugural Heat Exchanger World Americas Conference & Expo was a Success!
The Heat Exchanger World Americas Conference & Expo 2020 was held on December 9th and 10th at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas. The successful two-day hybrid event was hosted both in-person, and virtually.
The event’s conference consisted of keynote and technical presentations given by subject matter experts, while the exhibition allowed professionals to reconnect with their industry peers. The expo, which was open to the public both days of the event, also offered the chance for attendees to watch live demonstrations and network, while respecting health and safety protocols set out by the CDC.
With the option of watching the conference onsite in Houston, or virtually, the event was attended by professionals from across the globe including the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, India, and the United Kingdom. There was a great mix of Subject Matter Experts, Procurement Managers, and Senior Mechanical Engineers, including representatives from companies such as Ohmstede, Projectile Tube Cleaning Inc., Teadit North America, ORANGE Cleantech Inc., Corteva, and Bechtel.
The event’s exhibition was well-attended by onsite visitors who enjoyed walking the expo floor and speaking with knowledgeable vendor representatives from companies such as Ohmstede, Clean as New, Southern Heat Exchangers, and Specialty Machine Works. Visitors and exhibitors alike were able to network and obtain quality leads, all while maintaining the health and safety protocols set out by the CDC.
The conference, which ran concurrently with the exhibition, began each day with keynote presentations given by the event Technical Advisor, Davi Correia, Mechanical Engineer and Consultant; and Fred Schweighardt, National Projects Leader at Airgas, an Air Liquide company. Conference sessions saw both onsite and virtual attendees and participants; interested delegates had the opportunity to ask the speakers educated and thoughtful questions, which led to many in-depth discussions. It was thrilling to see industry professionals sharing ideas and collaborating on important industry topics such as cleaning methods & anti-fouling technologies, fabrication & welding, testing & inspections, materials & damage mechanisms, installation & handling, and more.
The Heat Exchanger World Americas Conference & Expo team would like to thank our Technical Advisor, Davi Correia, as well as the Steering Committee for all their hard work in creating an interesting and educational conference program.
The team would also like to take the opportunity to recognize the support of our main event sponsors: Teadit Group, Ohmstede Industrial Services Inc., Clean as New, Elliott Tool Technologies, and Flexitallic; the conference supporters: NARSA, Inspectioneering, and Ward; as well as our media sponsors: Valve World and Valve World Americas.
